REPAIR POLICY
Sterling silver is a soft metal and may develop natural scratches and dents over time with wear. This is a normal characteristic of the material.
If a stone falls out or a piece of your sterling silver pebble jewelry becomes detached, please reach out to Sarah directly via email or Instagram direct message. I am happy to arrange for you to send the piece back to my studio for a free repair. Please note that I am unable to replace stones. Alternative, you may also visit a local jewelry who may be able to assist with repairs.
PRODUCTION TRANSPARENCY
Each piece of jewelry is thoughtfully designed, handcrafted, polished, and marketed by Sarah Burack. The metals I use are sourced with care: pure silver comes from a local coin shop, while sterling silver is often recycled in-house using scrap metals and pure silver coins, or purchased from a trusted jeweler supplier in New Mexico. Stones are selected with equal attention to sustainability and quality, sourced directly from cutters in Jaipur, upcycled from estate jewelry, acquired at gem shows, or repurposed from vintage pieces.
For some items, pieces are carved in wax here at pebble and cast in New York, before they return to my studio in St. Louis for finishing and polishing. I prioritize eco-friendly practices in packaging, using recyclable materials for all items, including packaging tape.
Models and photographers are fairly compensated for their time and talent, ensuring ethical practices across all aspects of production. Each piece takes between 1 to 15 hours to complete, depending on complexity and the number of stones. My prices reflect the value of quality materials, skilled craftsmanship, fair compensation, and essential business expenses like website fees, design, and marketing.
Thank you for supporting handmade jewelry and thoughtful, transparent production. <3
STERLING SILVER CARE
To keep your sterling silver jewelry looking its best, wear it often, as regular wear helps reduce tarnish. When not in use, store it in a dry, airtight container or jewelry box to prevent tarnishing. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals like chlorine, household cleaners, and perfumes. If tarnish does appear, gently polish your silver with a soft cloth or a silver-specific cleaning cloth provided with each pebble package.
BRASS CARE
Brass can naturally develop a patina over time, giving it a unique character. To maintain its shine, store your brass jewelry in a dry, airtight container when not in use and avoid exposure to water, lotions, and oils. To remove tarnish, gently buff the piece with a soft cloth or use a brass polish sparingly if needed. Always avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the metal
